Your last book report of the year will be a biography!  This book must be a biography - a true story about someone’s life that is written by someone else. You will read a “Who Is/Was” book.

This book report will consist of 4 parts:

1. choosing and reading the book

2. preparing a costume and prop(s) for the oral report

3. preparing and presenting the oral report to the class

4. writing the book report in class

1. Choosing and reading the book: Choose a “Who Is/Was” book that interests you. You will have a graphic organizer to help you organize your thoughts while reading your book.

You must be finished reading the book by May 10, 2024.

2. Writing the book report in class: The book report will be written in class during the week of May 11, 2024. It will be a five-paragraph essay.  Please use the graphic organizer that you are given to help you while you are reading and researching your book. The graphic organizer is part of your effort grade.

3. Preparing a costume and prop(s) for the oral report: You will need to prepare a costume that represents your character. Be creative with household items rather than purchase a costume from the store. Items such as old clothes, paper bags, articles from past Halloween costumes, and construction paper can easily be transformed into a costume. Props may be brought in to enhance your presentation (no weapons). Due on May 30, 2024.

4. Preparing and presenting oral report to the class:

You will present a 2 minute report to both 4th grade classes on May 30, 2024.
