In Literature, we continue reading Island of the Blue Dolphins. This month will finish our book report The Penderwicks. Students will create of postcard of their favorite part. In history, we will learn all about the 1st people in California and the mission system. All students will be assigned a tribe to research. Then we will learn google slides to create a presentation. We will learn to draw a galleon and a mission.

• October 6th - staff meeting (no study or academic support)

• October 10th - recite: Village Blacksmith

• October 16th - classroom spelling bee

• October 24th - recite & lead patriotic song (Halloween Assembly)

• October 24th -  Fall Festival, 12pm dismissal

• October 29th - Picture Day- wear Friday uniform

• October 31st - regular assembly clothes, Halloween accessories okay
