Febraury is a busy month. we continue working on our class play. Students are working in their Comprehension Techniques workbook which mixes reading comprehension and language skills. They will begin the Graduation workbook, which is mythology reading comprehension.  In Literature, we continue reading, By The Great Horn Spoon. This book is about the gold rush experiences through the eyes of a 10 year old boy. In history, we will learn about the Statehood to Califonia and the gold rush!

• February 2nd -  staff meeting (no study hall or academic support)

• February 10th - students should be done reading free choice book 

• February 10-13th - write free choice book report in class

• February 11th - our dress rehearsal 

• February 12th- our class play (Pirates of Grammar Island 9am) 

• February 13th- recite: Individual Presidential Speeches

• February 13th- 12pm Dismissal

• February 16th - President's Day- No School

• February 20th - lead patriotic song

• February 16th-20th - remaining balance due for Sacramento Trip (see separate email)
